Returns & Refunds Policy

Art Terra Fusion is committed to your satisfaction. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), 2008 (Act No. 68 of 2008) of South Africa.

1. Cooling-Off Period (7 Days)

Under the Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to return goods purchased online within 7 business days of receiving them, for any reason, without penalty.

Conditions:

• Goods must be in original condition and packaging
• Goods must not have been used, damaged, or altered
• All accessories, manuals, and components must be included
• Proof of purchase is required

2. Items Eligible for Return

✅ Returnable Items

• Unopened products in original packaging
• Aquarium equipment (filters, lighting, CO2 systems) - unused
• Aquascaping tools and accessories - unused
• Hardscape materials (stones, driftwood) in original condition
• Substrates and soils - unopened/sealed bags only

❌ Non-Returnable Items

• Live Plants - Due to their perishable nature
• Opened Substrates or Soils - Once seal is broken
• Opened Fish Food or Fertilizers - For safety and hygiene
• Used Aquascaping Tools - If opened or used
• Custom or Special Orders - Items ordered specifically for you
• Sale/Clearance Items - Unless faulty

3. How to Return an Item

Important: Do not return items without a return authorization number.

4. Faulty or Damaged Items

If you receive a faulty or defective item, we will provide a full refund or replacement at no cost to you.

Timeframe: Report defects within 30 days of receiving the item.

What We Cover:

• Products that don't work as intended
• Manufacturing defects or faults
• Items damaged during manufacturing
• Items damaged in transit

5. Refund Methods

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method:

• Credit/Debit Card: 5-10 business days (depending on your bank)
• EFT/Instant EFT: 3-5 business days
• PayFast Wallet: 2-3 business days

Refund Amount

Full Refunds Include:

• Product price
• Original shipping cost (if item is faulty or wrong)

Change of Mind Refunds:

• Product price only
• Original shipping costs are non-refundable

6. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. To exchange an item:

1. Return the unwanted item (following return process above)
2. Receive your refund
3. Place a new order for the item you want

7. Warranty Information

Many products come with a manufacturer's warranty:

• ADA Products: 1-2 years (varies by product)
• DOOA Products: 1 year
• Lighting Systems: 1-2 years
• Filtration Equipment: 1 year

Not Covered by Warranty:

• Normal wear and tear
• Misuse or improper installation
• Accidental damage
• Unauthorized repairs or modifications

8. Order Cancellations

Before Dispatch

You may cancel your order before it has been dispatched:

• Email us immediately: sales@artterrafusion.com
• Full refund will be issued
• No cancellation fee

After Dispatch

Once your order has shipped:

• You cannot cancel the order
• You may return the item once received
• Standard return conditions apply
