DOOA Paluda Clean PC
A cation-exchange resin pack designed to remove calcium and magnesium from water, preventing limescale buildup on glass, Mistflow components, and plant foliage in paludarium and terrarium systems. Paluda Clean PC is essential for maintaining crystal-clear viewing panels and healthy plant surfaces in high-humidity environments.
How It Works:
The resin exchanges calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) ions—the primary minerals responsible for hard-water deposits—with sodium (Na⁺) or hydrogen (H⁺) ions, effectively softening the water before it evaporates or mists onto glass and leaves.
Usage Instructions:
In System Paluda:
1. Place one Paluda Clean PC pack inside the Mistflow Box (the chamber that feeds the ultrasonic mist generator)
2. Water passing through the box will be softened before atomization
3. Replace the pack approximately monthly, or when you notice limescale returning (replacement frequency depends on local water hardness)
For Hand Sprayers (DOOA Hand Spray or similar):
1. Place one pack in a lidded container filled with tap water
2. Shake vigorously for 1–2 minutes to accelerate ion exchange
3. Let stand overnight (8–12 hours) for maximum softening
4. Decant the softened water into your misting bottle for spraying
5. Reuse the pack for multiple batches until performance declines
