DOOA Terra Line
A strong, non-degrading line designed for securing epiphytic plants to DOOA Terra Base, Terra Plate, driftwood, or hardscape in high-humidity terrarium and paludarium environments. Unlike cotton thread or natural fibers that rot in moist conditions, Terra Line remains intact for years, providing reliable support while plant roots establish.
Key Features:
Applications:
How to Use:
1. Prepare the Plant: Trim dead leaves and roots; position the plant on the mounting surface (Terra Base, Terra Plate, driftwood, etc.)
2. Wrap the Line: Tie the Terra Line around the plant and mounting surface, securing the rhizome or root mass without crushing it
3. Knot Securely: Use a simple overhand or square knot; ensure the line is snug but not tight enough to damage the plant
4. Wait for Attachment: Over 2–8 weeks (depending on species), roots will grow into the mounting surface and anchor the plant naturally
5. Optional Removal: Once roots are firmly attached, you can cut away the Terra Line (or leave it in place—it won't degrade)
Why Non-Degrading?
Traditional cotton thread, jute twine, and raffia are excellent for temporary use in dry conditions, but they break down rapidly in terrariums and paludariums. If the line rots before the plant's roots attach, the plant will fall and may be damaged. Terra Line eliminates this risk, ensuring plants stay in place until they're self-supporting.

Environmentally Conscious Use:
While Terra Line doesn't biodegrade, its long lifespan means you use less material over time compared to constantly replacing rotting thread. Consider leaving the line in place after plant attachment to avoid waste—it's thin enough to be nearly invisible in mature displays.
